i love to cry. if you’re cool with that, i’d like to make something with you.
and when we do i want our goal to be that even if the end viewer isn’t in the target market, that after encountering our content they will go away better off than before.
and sometimes if everything fits just right, then not only is the end viewer better off but a genuine existential moment can happen. a moment that breaks through the walls and causes us to experience delight, joy, grief, or understanding in a new way.
a moment that allows us to cry: with our tears, with our voices, or with our souls.
this is not mere sentiment, no, because i have personally experienced this many times myself from many ads and films. i am grateful to the creators for having created those pieces, and i am grateful to also strive for that in every project i take on with you.
